Membership, Our Solution to high Medical Costs
HOW DO OUR PATIENTS PAY FOR MEDICAL SERVICES?
As a patient you have two payment options; you can EITHER pay a membership subscription for you and your family, OR choose a "pay as you go" system.
Membership#:
With The Peoples Centre Membership Plan you pay just $37.50 four times a year (or $37.50 for your first ¼ and $12.50 Per Month there after if this is easier) for you and your family to see the Doctor or Nurse. You can see them as often as you need for this fee, provided your subscription is up to date. Your family is defined as any children under the age of 18yrs that are living with you at your address, and up to two adult caregivers/ legal guardians of these children.
If you have a chronic health condition Work and Income NZ (WINZ) may pay your membership via the disability benefit, please ask the doctor for this form.
To select this option please fill out the Automatic Payment form enclosed in the membership pack and return it to the address shown on the form.
WHAT IS MEMBER ENROLLMENT AND WHY?
In order for us to receive funding from the Government for treating you and or your family, you need to have selected The Peoples Centre as your "preferred medical centre". You do this by enrolling with us.
Why do you need to do this?
The Peoples Centre is what is called a Primary Health Care Organisation (PHO). Each PHO receives funding from the Government for all the people who have selected them to be their "preferred" care giver.
Once you have enrolled with us as your PHO everyone can benefit from our many services.
You can only be enrolled with one PHO at any one time, and we ask that you transfer your medical records to us.
By becoming an Enrolled Member and transferring your medical records to be with us helps us provide better services to you and your family.
To enrol with us please collect a patient pack from any of our centres, complete the enrolment form enclosed and return it in the pre-paid envelope provided. Our staff will be happy to help with any questions you may have.
Visitors, Casuals and one off Appointments
I AM NOT ENROLLED WITH YOU AS A MEMBER - CAN I STILL USE YOUR SERVICES?
YES. You can still visit our Doctors and Nurses, but a visitors’ fee will apply. For more information on visitors fees, please telephone or visit the reception at one of our Peoples Centres. We welcome all visitors at these prices, both Kiwis, soon to be Kiwis and tourists visiting our lovely country.
# Membership currently applies only to Medical Services.
